Good Deeds by Good Citizens in New Orleans
You hear so many bad New Orleans crime stories -- this just goes to show you that the people who live and work in this city are truly genuine and good folks.
When eye surgeon Thomas McCauley told friends in Rhode Island he was visiting New Orleans for a medical convention, they warned him to be careful. But Thursday night, McCauley lost his wallet after winning $8,000 at Harrah’s New Orleans casino and hotel.
The cash-filled wallet was found by Al Castro, a Harrah's employee who waited on McCauley at a casino restaurant earlier that night. Castro returned the wallet intact and refused a "finder's fee."
